Hey All,
This is your space to write about your locally owned business. We want to support your business, but, at the request of our members, will now keep business-related posts in a new category so they don't distract from the community feel of the boards.
Cheers,

|

Need a haircut but can't/don't want to leave the babes?
I am a SAHM and hairstylist/colorist with 9 years experience. Since the birth of my daughter 5 months ago, I have been going to other moms' houses with my daughter, to cut or color other moms' hair!
The babies can hang out and play or stare at each other , and if they need us, we take a break from your cut or color, and continue on from there.
Some moms get a few friends together at one house with all the babies, and while one mom is having her hair cut (and maybe having a glass of wine ) the other moms hang out with the babies and wait for their haircut!
We can meet for coffee or tea and chat about your hair and our babies, to make everyone feel comfortable, and so we can meet in advance!
Drop me an email-

It IS a great idea Stephanie!
My plug for GreenBinky.com our new online boutique for babies and toddlers. We seek out smaller (SAHM's doing great stuff is a big part of what we carry!) companies that have style conscious goods. If you have a friend doing something great or a smaller company that you love - let us know about it!

Cheers! Kimberly

I'm a local Stallholder, based in Kirkland, for Barefoot Books. If you haven't yet heard of us, we are an independent children's book publishing company. Our aim at Barefoot Books is to cultivate creativity, encourage independence and celebrate cultural diversity. We offer beautiful books, CDs, puppets, puzzles and gifts that make learning fun and broaden your child's horizons. You can learn more about "going Barefoot" at my website: http://www.letsreadbarefoot.com and also in our review on red tricycle's blog (dated September 20, 2007) at: http://www.red-tri.com/blog/.
As a Mom of two little ones and a teacher I can say that Barefoot books are truly unique! If you'd like to see them in person, I often present our products at home parties so that you can get your hands on them and see just how special they are. I am also available for fundraisers for schools. In addition, if you'd like a copy of our current catalog, I'd be happy to send you one! Feel free to contact me at: and be sure to check out our Winter Sale! I hope you'll enjoy "going Barefoot" in 2008! Happy reading![/img]

I'm a former Seattle resident (now in Portland) and have recently launched a business with my husband called Simply Silhouettes. It's a collection of custom-designed silhouette products (room decor, apparel, gift items and stationery) that offer you a unique way to preserve the precious moments of childhood. Destined to become family heirlooms, our products are created with classic styling, handcrafted warmth and a touch of elegant whimsy.

Debut novel In Retrospect by Seattle-area author (and Red Tricycle mom) Katherine Luck is now available on amazon.com.
A young woman is found bleeding to death after her husband has been informed of her long-secret affair with his brother. Is it attempted suicide? Or attempted murder? Flynn is a former army intelligence operative, dishonorably discharged for keeping forbidden and very personal secrets. Hired to protect this vulnerable young woman, Flynn feels compelled to delve into her past. The repercussions of digging through layers carefully guarded secrets will destroy both a wealthy, powerful family, and an unimaginably damaged woman.

Hi All,
I thought some of you may be interested in my business as I know I have been looking for this type of thing for the longest. We send licensed massage therapists and child care providers to your home to give you a break from the busy life of parenthood, relax and rejuvenate. We also do spa parties, which is also a nice idea for play groups or even bridal or baby showers. Check out our site at: www.newbornyoumassage.com As we are just starting out we are still trying to figure things out but please do contact me directly if you have questions.
I hope to meet some of you!

Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know that the fabulous language school, Sponge, has opened a location in Issaquah. I am an eastsider who always wanted to take a class with my child, but couldn't bear the commute. Now you don't have to cross the bridge. They offer classes in Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese and French.

Hope to see you there! |

|
|
At Nico & Zoe Toys, we do our best to find uncommon and artisan made toys from local suppliers - which means a lot less toys from China! We have a few (Melissa & Doug & others), but we also have lots of handmade and small business toys from the US, Thailand, UK, Germany, and South America. We have a lot more coming in September for the Holidays. So, take a look.
We also list where all of our products are manufactured on each products detail page so you can decide for yourself where you want you kids toys come from!
