“Near the forfront of the next generation of parenting tools...Red Tricycle is not your mother's parenting aide. Readers are razr-phone-toting, book-club-joining moms who at least know what a blackberry is."
Seattle Post Intelligencer April 2006
Thank you for being so smart, clever and witty! I’m enjoying my subscription and appreciate what you’re doing.

Angela Johnson, the owner of brand new Greenwood shop Twig Children’s Boutique, for children aged newborn through five years, knows what it’s all about: designer, organic, modern clothes for kids.
From the recycled plywood floor to the bamboo hangers to the re-used mid-century furniture (including the tongue-in-cheeck “Daddy’s Chair” for him to wait in while you shop), everything here is as Earth-friendly as can be. Twig’s wares are the kind of clothes that make Little One look too adorable for words, and that smile on the environment. Not to mention, lots of her brands are local faves, such as Kate Quinn Organics (including too-cute-for-words new asymmetrical girls’ coats), Eight3One, Baby Legs, Two Owls, and KLT Works.
In addition to local designers, Johnson is the exclusive Seattle retailer for several other hip children’s clothing brands, such as cutie-clothes from imps&elfs; out of Amsterdam, staples from Black Rabbit out of San Francisco, and fifties-esque twirl dresses from Ses Petit Mains, also out of San Francisco. Johnson’s vision of her store was a children’s denim wall, and a children’s denim wall she’s got. Find organic choices for little hipsters who’ve gotta have their jeans. And that simple cool-color-combo art on the walls? It’s for sale, too.
