“Near the forfront of the next generation of parenting tools...Red Tricycle is not your mother's parenting aide. Readers are razr-phone-toting, book-club-joining moms who at least know what a blackberry is."
Seattle Post Intelligencer April 2006

Racing around the birthday party making sure Little One and his entourage have their cupcakes and juice boxes; you pause to fire off a few blurry shots on your camera phone before he starts tearing into his gifts-sound all too familiar? Next time, call Laura Lowery of Shades of Gray Photography. Her birthday party packages ($300) include two hours of party coverage, 30-40 4x6 prints presented in a linen-bound birthday album and private web hosting where friends and family can order prints.
Parties are just one way Laura captures children's true personalities in action. An accomplished professional photographer, Laura shoots in both black & white (on 35 mm film) and color (digital) and prefers to work on location (your home, backyard, favorite park/beach) where children and babies feel most comfortable. She works with parents to create a fun, relaxed environment where kids stories can naturally unfold.
Some of Laura's favorite photo sessions have been playing around in the backyard with kids "just being kids" in a wading pool, eating popsicles, picking flowers for Mom. With an eye for capturing "the expressions and emotions that reveal a child's character" her photos celebrate those fleeting moments we as parents just don't want to miss.
Private photography sessions last approximately one hour and range from $450 (digital) to $500 (film). A linen-bound photo album with 30-40 prints is included, and black and white film sessions also include an 8x10 fine art print chosen by Laura.
