Get Out and Play

You likely jut did that whole marathon eating and drinking thing yesterday. (Vodka tonics helped a few readers we know play nice with the in-laws.) But, now it's time to get wholesome, active and out of the house. The ideas below should help inspire you.

Ah, the heartwarming story of little Josh baskin wishing to be grown up...he quickly learns it's not as glamorous as it looks (duh, we could have told him that).

Artsy Fartsy
The Little Artist Studio drop-in classes.
Nuture Junior's inner Picasso by bringing him to the creative space upstairs at the Curious Kidstuff studio in West Seattle. He can express himself through collage or draw, paint and basically make a mess. Woo hoo, somebody else cleans up!
When: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 - 10:30 am for ages one and up; 11:00 am - 12:00 pm for ages three and up

Nibble and Sip
The new bite-sized grilled cheese sandwiches at Purple Cafe and Wine Bar.
Culture the kids with sandwiches made from Spanish cheese and baguettes. Aged proscuitto can be added; sandwiches also come with house-made tomato basil soup. Oh, and ask for the milk flight - they serve caramel, chocolate, strawberry and regular milk in the style of a wine tasting.
What's in it for you: Purple has about 75 wines by the glass, enough said.
